I pray that each morning I center my heart upon your calling Lord and listen to the words of Samuel as he proclaimed that God does not abandon His people and He delights in growing His followers. Lord no matter my sins I know that you provide my only true forgiveness. Amen

I would pretend I was God, and say, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then the kids (that were pretending to be asleep) would ‘wake up’ and come to me and say, “Here I am!”. I would tell them to go back to bed. We did this three times, but the third time, I told them to sit up in their bed and say, “Speak, Lord, I’m listening.” They didn’t quite get it (but I did). Hopefully they will recall that game during their lives.
