In reply to Elizabeth. I really like that perspective. Truly letting love (God) into our lives is meant to calm us. God commands us not to worry in Matthew 6:25. If we do not worry, we live with God, and by living with God, we live with love. Love helps us not worry.

In 1 John, I keep circling this: “There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out fear.” It makes me wonder…how much of my anxiety, my second-guessing, my ache for worth, is just the absence of that love reaching my core? But today, I let it in. Today I believe, even just for a moment, that His love is wider than my self-doubt. That it sees my whole story, all the layers and grief and beauty, and still says: You. I love you. Not because I’m perfect, but because He is.
