I thought it was just a story about how God does not accept vegetables but it is so much deeper than that – how many times do I offer God what I want instead of what I know he demands? And I justify it in my head while ignoring the Word of God. Yikes. I thank God for these passages and for this reflection. I also thank God for Christ because I think I would have been long dead if not for His ultimate sacrifice!
