Honestly the first thought that came to mind was “here Rahab is, a prostitute. Someone who people look down upon because of that not regarding the circumstances that lead her to do that. God still chose her. A PROSTITUTE. No matter what you do. God will use you.

I love Rahab. She didn’t really know anything about God or his people, just what she heard had happened, and still put her trust in His power and had faith in that. She took a leap of faith in letting the spies stay with her but she did it for the ultimate reward, for her and her family’s survival and the hope of becoming one of God’s own. She really trusted them. I can learn a lot from Rahab and her response to God and the spies.

Didn’t finish that .. it made me think of how Rehab must have felt. Imagine the fear of knowing your city would be conquered, and the grief that she might have felt ,about to lose neighbors and friends. . Yet she acted in faith to protect the men and keep her word. She rightly feared God which led to obedience.

Rahab’s story is monumental in my faith. She was one woman with a dubious career choice and history. She made a choice that day. She stayed faithful and that faith paid off and she protected her entire family and her story lives on in the bible and read by millions. Rahab was just one woman! All we need is God in our heart x

In reply to Abby Roudebush. I love this question! It says in my notes that Rahab was also an innkeeper and because of her home’s position in the wall, the spies were able to come and go undetected. I believe the light of God shined through them to her and when they didn’t seek her services, that is when she knew these men offered something more.
