I neglect to meditate, reflect, & really think about what I’m reading.

I often have to remind myself of the days in between Jesus’ death & resurrection. What were his disciples & followers feeling & thinking during this time? I imagine they felt anxious, confused, despair, despondent, & fearful.

I also have to remind myself that when they last saw Him, He was beaten, blooded, broken, bruised, & unrecognizable. Now, seeing him post-resurrection, they see Him as the ‘firstborn from the dead’ who is about to ascend back to Heaven to sit at the Father’s right hand to intercede on their behalf. What a sight to see! What were his disciples & followers feeling & thinking during this time? I imagine they felt awe-struck, hope, joy, peace, & relief.
