I too was in a marriage with a husband who professed to be a believer but was not living like one. He was an addict and also had an affair. God taught me so much through this relationship and had me stand by him and gave me compassion for him for a time. Eventually it became an unsafe situation and he left. God’s hand was even in his departure. It was a smooth transition. I sought God’s will early on in our dating and knew he had this man for me. It certainly did not end up the way I would have chosen. Eventually our marriage ended. God has not left me. My relationship with the Lord had come so far since then, that was over 10 yrs ago. I still have the desire to be a wife. I still have hope that God will fulfill this desire in my life. I have Hope because of Him.
