I am so thankful and grateful for the unending grace I have received and have yet to receive. I look back at parts of my life in awe not knowing how I survived or got through it. Looking back over what God has brought me through helps remind me me that He will bring me through much more/ or much smaller things as well.

***I posted previously by accident, before I could finish and edit**
Every day I am amazed at how much I do not understand and appreciate the character of God and the reason and need for Jesus. I could write a book on what I have learned during this Advent study. I found I did perceive God’s covenant as a contract. The devotion for this day really stuck me. I worked a very long day yesterday, * the 15th, I’m catching up on my reading) and sat down to watch, “Call the Midwives” before going to bed. I found myself feeling guilty for not reading my Bible. I read my Bible regularly and know enough that God does not speak to me in away that would make me feel guilty. I did sense that He was telling me to relax and enjoy some down time. I do not have to be doing something no matter how “good” it may be. I can rest in his grace. In our Exodus passage, I noted all the times God said, “I will” and the passage reminded me that I don’t have to continually stive to be better, stronger, and more holy. God will put a new hear and spirit in me. I can rest knowing I have peach with God through Jesus Christ.

I am catching up on my reading this morning. Oh, the ways of the Lord learning. I realized that I did relate a covenant to a contract. And our devotional, for this reading, I also realized that while most of the th,ings I do are good, I feel that I have to constantly be doing something that I can’t remain.Idle. after working fourteen hours yesterday, I wanted to relax and watch an episode of one of my favorite shows called the midwife.
