It bothers me less and less. Being a child of God anchors me and the wait doesnt even seem that bad. Out of all the presents i get, I pray for God to give me a word to focus on each year, i have had ‘gifts’, ‘community’ and ‘purpose’ in previous years
and now get excited about what God wants me to lean in to in 2026. And excited about my daily prayer time and the peace my Lord brings in the chaos. Amen

For days I have shopped online for a specific red sweater for the holidays. I did finally find it, but in the process incurred an extra postage charge. I had it sent to the address I am visiting, but now it will probably arrive after I leave. So, my urgency to get something I needed so badly will now result in a longer wait. And I got through the holidays just fine with the red top already in my closet. Jesus was the perfect gift, but not recognized nor appreciated by people then, and often not by me now. I search and try to make happen the solution for my problems that I want, when Jesus has already given the solution if I will look to him and be content in His answers.
