I am beginning my battle with breast cancer and about to get my second chemo treatment. Jesus became more real for me today. Knowing that He probably felt what I am feeling and needed to draw strength and courage from His support people. I received a blessing from a trusted church leader. Today, I realize that as I was anointed during that blessing that Jesus felt what I am feeling. I KNOW that my Lord and Savior is going to carry me through this battle and that I can draw strength and courage from him as I face this is so overwhelmingly comforting. Whatever the outcome is Jesus will be with me and felt everything I am feeling.

I love the smell of pipe tobacco because my father smoked a pipe until I was maybe 7-8 years old. I remember sitting in his favorite chair and opening the canister just to inhale the scent! It is something that I could not possibly enjoy without that association.
