In reply to Rhonda J.. If you have never seen the Island of Patmos, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world! It is hard to imagine a Mediterranean island as a punishment. (I guess they didn’t know about Siberia.) But then, John probably didn’t get to enjoy the view in the cave—until Jesus showed up in all his majesty and glory, with a voice so powerful it rent the ceiling of the cave in 3 parts. If you ever have a chance to go there, take it!
